I would like to eat more fish - dh, ds1(6) and ds2(8 months) and I all like fish, and are willing to try anything. At the moment I do a lot of salmon (pan-fried/poached) or fish pie, but not a lot else. We've made stuff like monkfish in thai spices for dinner parties and things, but obviously that sort of stuff is for "special occasions", what I'm really looking for are tasty, quick recipes with not too expensive cuts of fish that I can either make when I get home from work, or make at the weekend and freeze easily. Can anyone help with some tried and tested ideas? (I know I can use a cookery book, but thought that MN would have good solutions :O

Kedgeree is quick, use smoked haddock / cod, or if you want really quick use smoked salmon. Fish cakes are easy to make and can use fresh or tinned fish. Prawns in risotto or curry. with bread crumbs for fish and chips.

I haven't tried it yet but it sounds lovely and it was recommended on another thread www.jamieoliver.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=243300
