out of date ice cream

just eaten some ice cream which i bought from our local supermarket today, (i am pregnant and have a craving for it).

didn't check the best before end date when i bought it (i never do with frozen food) but i happened to look after i had eaten some and the bbe date was oct 2007. it tasted ok. should i complain to the shop or just leave it.

I would assume you'll be fine, if it tasted and looked normal I wouldn't worry about it. I would call the shop and let them know that they sold you a product four months past it's sell-by date though! I bet they'll be horrified.
