Easy vege pasta dish needed

A friend is coming for lunch with her girls and I need something easy to make. They are vegetarian and don't like cheesy or tomato sauces, which narrows things down a bit. Any suggestions please?

Carbonara with asparagus??

Not sure their children would eat asparagus, but thanks for suggestion. Any more for any more?

Pasta with a cream and pea sauce? Traditionally done with farfalle (the butterfly one), but obviously doesn't matter.

Most odd for veggies to not like cheese or tomato sauces!

Roast a load of veg like peppers, courgettes, butternut, leeks, onions and garlic in olive oil then toss in to cooked pasta with some a couple of cans of canneline beans or any bean you fancy really (except in tomato sauce!)
Season with extra garlic powder, salt to taste and pepper. Maybe some chives and lemon zest if you have it in.

Or pesto with roasted red peppers, aubergines, red onions, capers or olives.
