Hi was wondering if anyone would share with me what a 10mth old weekly meal plan would look like. I have a 10mth son and he is not putting on weight.

Is he still having milk feeds? Dd2 is 1 and still has 4 milk feeds.

She has

7am - Bottle
8am - Brekky (toast/fruit)

10am - Little Bottle
12 - Lunch - sandwiches, cheese on toast, scramble eggs

2pm - Bottle
5pm _ Dinner (soup, yoghurt, sweet potato, eggy bread, bacon etc)

6pm - Bottle

Are you doing BLW?

Thanx Karen999. Yes he is still having milk feeds I give him the recomended 600ml a day but doesn't finish that all the time.

Sorry what does BLW mean??

Baby Led Weaning....basically let them feed themselves, no purees, just what you are having etc minus the salt. Finger foods are good to try.

personally I wouldn't give a developing digestion most of these foods but I'm not an expert. I recommend a book called Optimum Nutrition for babies and toddlers it's from the Institute of Optimum nutrition and you can find it on amazon.

Yes he does have finger food alot and enjoys it.
rebelmum1 I will check out that book you recommended thanx

my ds is 10m and he's not really gaining any weight either - the HV said she thought this was because he was so active! (She just watched the wrestling match we call "changing the nappy" , and he is cruising now.) He eats like this:

bf around 5 or 6am
brekky around 8am - 1 weetabix or baby muesli. occasional bit of fruit.

anywhere between 10 and 11:30 - another bf (or not)

lunch around 12-1ish - pasta and baked beans; avocado; dhal (lentils and veg); bit of fruit. something like that.

may have a snack around 3 - rice cakes w/ hommous, biscuit , bit of cheese.

usually bfs around 4:30.

dinner somewhere around 6pm
last night was lentils, veg and mashed potato; cheesy bread; cold roast veg; bit of smoked mackerel. fruit. something like that.

ds feeds himself most of this but is often too tired/cranky for a proper dinner. He has no interest in toast and he usually just doesn't want brekky - dunno what that's all about as I wake up starving!

dunno know what rebelmum means about not giving these foods to developing digestion - see babyledweaning.com for recipes, chat, advice, etc.

Or start a thread yoo-hooing Aitch, she'll come and advise.

Perhaps rebelmum means things like eggs/cheese because of allergies? Not sure, but do know that dd2 loves cheese on toast. Its her favourite at the moment, oh and a roast dinner too. She adores roast potatoes and asparagus.
