what went wrong with these doughballs?

dd1 has insisted that every week we pretend we are at her favourite pizza restaurant and I must make doughballs

the ones she is referring to have mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce in

well I tried and they were weird. I couldn't work out a way to get the stuff into the balls (just used a packet of dry pizza base) so we ended up having basically cooked dough for tea

can anyone tell me how to do this?

I'd be interested too, so bump

Well I'm not a dough ball expert, but I think I'd make the dough (NOT from a pcket!!) in the breadmaker and the make a ball shape and sort of poke a hole in each ball with my finger and drizzle in some tom sauce, stuff in a pinch of cheese tehn nip the dough together to close teh hole?

perhaps just googling 'dough ball recipes' will bring up results.

they pipe it in usually dont they? I don't know if you could buy a piping abg with a very narrow nozzle then pinch the hole shut after.

it might be easier to do sort of mini calzone, so roll out the dough, put cheese and tom in and fold to make a little pasty.

don't know about the tomato, but you could roll the dough into balls round cubes of cheese, then bake?

(this is a good way to use up leftover mashed potato too)

fishie that was what I tried, exactly that

but everything squished out

oh MamaG naff off with your breadmaker you smug tyke

will try rolling and piping
