Number 1 Cake Tin

Hi there,
I have a Number 1 Cake Tin, but the people I bought it off didn't send a recipe with it as promised. I've contacted them twice, but still nothing.

Does anyone know the amounts I need to use to make a sponge cake and how long it needs to be cooked for as I usually make sponge cakes in 2 separate tins.

Many thanks!!

How big is it? You can usually gauge how much cakemix by the dimensions of the tin.

fill it with water and pour into a measuring jug to see how much it holds
then fill your normal tins to compare

I guess it'll take a 2 or 3 egg sponge and 30-40min

Thanks for your suggestions . I'm having a trial run with a 4 egg sponge and it's in the oven as I type. Keep your fingers crossed for me!!

I am still scraping batter mix off my oven door after my 6 egg mixture exploded during my attempts to make DS a number 2 cake!!! . It did, however, turn out lovely

Note to self, less is more
