school xmas lunch

My 9 year usually takes packed lunch but tofday we paid for a veggie xmas lunch and he was given

diced carrots and sweetcorn,
1 veggie sausage
1 teddy shaped veggie patty
3 large chips

followed by a teddy shaped neopolitan ice cream and a wafer

Does that seem like an xmas lunch or a bog standard school lunch

Is it me or does any one think this is very strange

That is a 'normal' school lunch....crikey.....and a bad one at that!

How weird albosmum, not very christmassy at all.
I know you live very near me so wonder if our children go to the same school??? (I am in Carshalton by the way )

schools in the same authority have ;christmas lunch' on the same day..incase you are worried that you know each other in RL!!

Not sure if the unveggie one is more christmassy. Certainly sounded like it when we recieved the menu.

the un veggie one will be a little more xmassy....not much though :)

our Christmas Lunch is much different - real roast potatoes, sausages, real meat not the presssed reformed stuff (erugh!) veg, etc. Not sure what the vegetarian options are, but the dinner is really really nice. For a school dinner I mean.
