How many eggs should a 4 yr old have in a week ?

DS's current obsession is eggs.

He wants scrambled eggs(2) on toast every morning and asks for them at lunch and teatime too !!!

Obviously this would be ridiculous, so I am letting him have them four mornings a week.

I seem to remember being told that too many eggs make kids constipated.

How many is too many ?

If you are worried about constipation you could try a stealthy chopped tomato in the scramled egg.

Just make the scrambled egg, but when it is almost ready stir in a small tomato chopped really fine.

Dd loves this meal and I feel like he is at least getting a bit of veg.

agree with seona1973 - no limit as long as there's a healthy balance in the rest of the diet. DS (4) eats a lot of eggs, probably 5 or 6 a week. Thankfully he eats everything else he is given too and has a nice varied diet. He does absolutely fine on it and doesn't get constipated.

Mine has 4 or 5 a week and never gets constipated. if he could, he would eat them every mealtime too.
