Organic milk shortage?

In Sainsburys this morning they had a little note pinned to the organic milk section saying that we were experiencing a national shortage of organic milk, and apologising if their customers were unable to buy the organic milk they required.

I've heard nothing on the news or in the papers. A quick google tells me nothing.

Anyone heard anything?

Really?
Wow.
Haven't heard anything but surely it can only be a good thing? Bit like the free range chickens selling out and no-one buying the other ones.
I don't think I could drink non-organic milk now though so sod knows what I'll do if I cant get any!

It's odd. Do Sainsburys know something that no one else does?

I popped into Sainsbury's Saturday afternoon and managed to get the last 4-pint bottle of Organic Semi Skimmed. I put it down to it being the weekend? Need some more, so will pop back tomorrow and let you know if they have any or not.

I hope there is no shortage (even though I can see how it would be a good thing) as I love the taste of organic milk and need my daily glass with my lunch....

I always have trouble getting it here.

drives me insane

Didn't seem to be much of a shortage. Shelves were fully stocked. I bought our usual 22 pints - not stocking up, we just get through a lot of milk.

Ditto BS, we get through gallons. 22 pints lasts about 4-5 days here.
