Does it have to be a hot meal? How about some sandwiches, she can suck on them, and some soft fruit.

marmite sarnies without the crust if she hasn't many teeth

boiled egg mashed with mayo and bread

baked beans with toast. obviously cm would have to cook

pizzas with ham, cheese, tomato, mushroom etc

maybe this is a bigger question, but I've been scared of baked beans, ham, marmite because of the salt - at what point can you offer these things? I'm still buying unsalted butter and making EVERYTHING from scratch to avoid the salt in pre-made stuff...

couscous is a great alternative to pasta...
AK has loads of good recipes in the 100 purees and baby&toddler planner book.... you don't need to puree them!
Does she eat meat?
Loads of casseroles- which I make in bulk and freeze in pots to be defrosted in microwave at lunchtime. (assuming cm has a microwave of course) Once its in the casserole dish, don't have to do anything (well, haha I do the washing up/iorning whatever) cook for 1 or 1.5 hours, is nice and soft, plus with onepot stuff all the goodness is kept in the 'sauce'. I use kallo low-salt stockcubes, which are virtually no salt, so fine for little ones, esp when diluted extra. (eg 1 cube 1.5 pints water)

By having lots of little portions ready made, they can have a really good variety.

am surprised cm doesn't make food for all charges.... but we don't use a cm, we use nursery.
