Can I re-freeze pork mince?

I'm going to make meatballs with beef and pork mince - the beef is fresh, the pork defrosted.

Can I cook and then freeze them? Or freeze them raw?

You can cook them and freeze them (I do this often) but you wouldn't be able to refreeze them raw.

Thanks Bozza

It's because if you did it raw that would be refreezing the pork in it's same state - ie raw meat. But by cooking you have altered the pork to cooked meat which can then be frozen and reheated once.

cook and then freeze...

if you dont you are asking for trouble as it will make you very very ill.
