is it just whizzed up tinned tomatoes or is there more to it than that?

Sieved fresh tomatoes so there is no skin or pips in it. Nothing more to it, no.

ah ... because i was reading a spag bol thread on here and people were saying passata was better than tinned toms and i couldn't understand why if passata is tinned toms just whizzed up with a blender.
