Romantic chocolate dessert ideas for two please?

Yes I am planning ahead for Valentine's Day. We decided to cook a special meal at home rather than sit in over-priced restaurant with a load of other couples! DH offered to do main, so I'm on dessert and pre-dinner nibbles.

Dessert HAS to be chocolate - any nice (and preferably very simple/quick) suggestions?

toberlone fondue.... melt equal amount of toberlone and double cream -- dip in strawberries or body parts!!

sagacious · 06/02/2008 19:11

Surely you are desert (and pre dinner nibbles)

Hmm - I like your train of thought there. Me as dessert would be both slimming and mean no cooking for me! But I suspect he will want chocloate too... fondue could be a goer, though he isn't keen on fruit.

Any other ideas???

Dip in marshmallows. Gawd am slavering at the though of toblerone fondoe

dip marshmallows in the fondue...why not roll up some pre made pancakes, warmed in the oven with nutella, or roll up with chunks of really nice chocolate and warm through and serve with best vanilla ice cream ? I have given up chocolate for Lent so hope you appreciate my contribution ( drool)

Daffodilly · 06/02/2008 19:39

Sorry this is very cruel to those that have given up choc for lent (brave souls - I don't think I'd get through the day, though easier than giving up wine!)

Good plan on marshmallows. Vaguely recall we got a fondue set for our wedding, now where would I have put it.....

Doll up the bedroom a bit, call on him to follow you, and lie on the bed, wrapped only in a very large gift bow, holding a family size bag of mini Mars bars?

sagacious · 06/02/2008 19:42

Perhaps a full size mars bar a la Marianne Faithfull would be more in keeping

No sorry
Its far too early for that sort of smut

I blame the wine (and ds 's whingy playdate)

I'll leave

Blimey you lot have a lot more exciting love lives (and energy) than I do post DD! Mind you since we do want another soon it might get things going a bit.

Plus if I tell DH where I got the idea he will be more supportive of my MN habit.
