Don't buy cookery books until you've got them from the library first and tried a few recipes. If they don't work then you haven't wasted the money buying the book!

Tana is more than likely to be a clever enough to listen when some clever marketing types told her that they could market her life and package what she cooks at home for the kids into a 'lifestyle' type product. She then probably came up with a few recipes, put a few together, scribbled a few down, sent them off to an editor who edited them carelessly and lots of lovely pics were taken and voila - a book. Next a column, next a tv career doesn't mean she has anything valuable to say about cooking. It just means that a marketing team have invented a product.
