I'v ebeen lusting after one of these for years and might be able to persuade DH that the extra pay he's had should best be diverted to one of these instead of paying a bit off the mortgage (boring!)
Are they really worth the money? Which is the prettiest colour ? Does anyone know where is best to buy them mail-order?

Fabulous (darling) You simply must.
I have the cream (though upon googling the apple green is rather scrum)

mmmm

BananaPudding · 05/02/2008 17:44

I have a red one, and I loooooooove it. I use it nearly every day for something or another. Best kitchen appliance I've ever had!

They are so heavy it ends up with a permanent home on a counter, and then you use it constantly because you can't forget it somewhere hidden.

Scootergrrrl · 05/02/2008 17:46

The green one is so very lovely (although in the latest issue of Good Food, Annabel Karmel has the same one which is almost enough to put me off ) If I get one from Amazon, I'll get free delivery and my tax back because we're at a BFPO address so less than £300. Must be worth it surely!

Definitely get one, I have one in cream and it's the best kitchen appliance I have. You can get them online at John Lewis

jabberwocky · 05/02/2008 18:08

I would love to have one. Go for it!

seeker · 05/02/2008 18:20

I want a red one so much it hurts. Dp says they are "poncy rubbish" and glooms off to put more coal in the bath.

seeker · 05/02/2008 18:21

"Bent fork wi only one prong were good enough for my mam"

Scootergrrrl · 05/02/2008 18:24

I'm in danger of getting a bit stalkerish about them - I keep logging on to amazon to gaze at them . My DH is the same - "can't you just use a wooden spoon?" was his response.
So, red or apple green then?

I use mine all the time I have the creamy yellow one They all look nice though and are so usefl

MrsTweedy · 05/02/2008 18:35

My dp has never complained about the cost as he lerves the cakes & bread it produces

Actually so does the dog who was caught scoffing a still-warm fruit cake on Sunday

seeker · 05/02/2008 18:58

Red - Oh please get a red one, they I can use it vicariously in a stalkerish kind of way!

Scootergrrrl · 05/02/2008 19:40

Go on, get one and we can be Kitchenaid virgins together (am quite aware that that sounds weird!)

I've got the blue one, and love love love it. Baking is so much quicker too, as you can get the sugar and butter mixing while you sort out the rest of the ingredients.

Scootergrrrl · 06/02/2008 17:50

It's down to red, blue or yellow - I'm veering towards the yellow one cos it's so pretty! The apple green one is out of stock for eight weeks and I'm scared if I wait that long, DH will change his mind!
