My dd loves her weetabix and I used to just give her one but recently she still seems hungry and as though she wants more. So I gave her two the other morning and she munched it up with ease.
Just wondered what others do and how much is too much? Am I overfeeding her if I give her two?

DD was the same - could each two easily at that age. better to prepare too uch than not enough.

GS used to eat two, then we cut him down - but he still has 1 1/2. I sometimes do him a slice of toast afterwards - but then he only has 1 wetabix.

thanks, makes me feel a bit better. Have no idea where she puts it all, SHe is not exactly chubby or anything but certainly has a big appetite.

ds is 13 months - he had 2 weetabix and a banana for breakfast. Plus some milk a while later...

I also give him porridge and hot oat cereal on other days.

DD is 15months & has been known to eat 2.5 plus toast, then hover around us hoping for egg/bacon ect.

She must have hollow legs as she can fit in 6-9 month clothes.

MY ds is 3 and seems to be a bottomless pit with food- he just eats and eats and eats have no idea how much is too much - he wears clothes for a 4-5 year old and he was only 3 in september - he is not chubby though - maybe i will start a thread.............

Well, havent done weetabix yet but at 10 months ds was eating a good helping off porridge plus two bananas, breakfast is always when hes most hungry and demands it as soon as he wakes at 6

kinderbob · 06/12/2004 06:33

I was giving 1.5 at that age plus toast. She hasn't eaten for half a day probably so it's no wonder she is starving hungry.

My dd ( also 14 months) loves weetabix and is a huge eater. I give her only one and then fill her on fruit and toast wtih nut butter etc.

Where do they put it all? My nanny often regales me with tales of how much dd3 ate that day - more sometimes than my older children!!!

bonymerryxmas · 06/12/2004 15:47

Dd used to have 2 at that age - and sometimes banana and or toast as well. Now I can barely get her to eat anything for breakfast - a handful of dry cereal or a piece of toast if I'm lucky (she's 6)!

17, worth the waste just to see the look on their face at the tower of weetabix.

Good for learning to count too.

When i was little my dad asked me how many rice crispies I wanted. I said 10 thinking 10 a very high number. He GAVE ME 10!! It was a big lesson hunger always concentrates the mind.
