Lunch suggestions...

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for quick, easy, cheap lunches? I'm breastfeeding 3wo DD and making lunch just never seems to happen! I need to increase the calories I'm getting a day - but don't want to resort to just eating rubbish!

Thanks!

Do you have a partner who makes a packed lunch?
If so he could make you one?
Otherwise simple things like philadelphia spread on digestive biscuits, toast or a bagel
Soup that goes staright in the microwave and can be eaten out of the container
Do you have a nice Mum or MIL who would fill up the freezer for home made soup?

No DP/DH sadly (fortunately )

Mum cooks lots for us when she comes over but we live abroad.

Philadelphia is a grand idea though. I stopped eating it when pg (hopeless confusion over good/bad chees) - I'd forgotten I could eat it again now!

Thanks

A good idea is to make a sandwich/pitta bread with filling etc in the morning and leave in the fridge for lunch.
other ideas;
beans on toast
microwaved baked potato
pasta with sauce or pesto
leftover dinner from night before!

Wraps are easy to eat with one hand - chicken and garlic mayo and cheese are yummy!
