can i use plain and add baking powder

i want to make some fairy cakes but no self raising flour can i use plain and add baking powder if so how mucg for 100gms of flour

On the back of my baking powder tub it says it can be used to replace SR flour....instructions say add 4 level tsps per 225g (8oz) flour.

Not sure how well it works as have never done it myself.

1 teaspoon per 100g should do it.
