goat's milk for babies??

My 8 month old daughter has eczema which appears to be brought on by cow's milk, so when I weaned her I gave her goat's milk and cheese etc in her food in place of cow's milk products.

I know this is a bit late, but I have just noticed advice stating that goat's milk formula isn't suitable for babies - and although I've never used it it makes me wonder, have I been doing the wrong thing giving her goat's milk in her food?? Any advice?

Have you been told that it's definately cows milk thats causing it!! I only ask because i had eczema as a kid and it was an egg allergy that caused it egg white in particular. When you consider how many foods contain egg, it's amazing!! And i did eventually grow out of it, i still get the odd bit of dry skin but not to the extent it was

My children had Nanny goats milk formula and raw goats milk, and they are all v healthy.

I think there have been threads in the past on here about why nanny was banned.
IIRC, the main difference with raw milk is that goatsmilk is lower in folic acid, and that it is lactose free.
