When DS was a baby I bought him some baby pasta which, I think, was tiny little stars. I can't seem to find it now. I've looked in Asda and Boots. Anyone know where I can get it? Thanks

i used to buy soup pasta, tiny stars and tubes etc, from good italian delis. it did the same job
think hipp organic also do a range (ABCs?). think you could buy it in waitrose

ChristmasBOOZA · 02/12/2004 14:34

Why have they discontinued it Coddy? Will have to try and remember when I got to tesco to buy train track because unfortunately we are in the north so don't have waitrose.

There was a Beatrix Potter styled range which I bought my dd a year ago from Waitrose.

cupcakes - it's called peter rabbit organics

try here . Search for Pastina Sabbiolina.

I use pasta bought from an Italian deli that looks like large grains of rice

aBeanInaManger · 02/12/2004 14:40

the peter rabbit stuff is available in some Sainsbury?s, Safeway and Tesco, as well as waitrose

ChristmasBOOZA · 02/12/2004 14:42

Have done a search and Coddy is right - there are loads of threads on it.

millions
they discontinue it so that you have to gett he stuff in jars

Blackduck · 02/12/2004 14:45

saw the thread title and thought 'deja vu' (sp?)....just buy italian soup pasta from a deli....

ChristmasBOOZA · 02/12/2004 14:48

Well that won't work for me. Do not do jars in our house. But I'm beginning to feel a bit of a philistine because I have no idea where there is a deli around us.

where are you?

bakedpotatohoho · 02/12/2004 14:59

this is from teleg online

"Latini's tiny star-shaped stelline, £1.95 for 500g from i Sapori (mail order 020-7228 2017), are the perfect size for adding to soup. Their rough texture comes from slow drying - and the use of bronze moulds - but it's the fragrant flavour of the black wheat flour used in the dough that really makes the difference."

not sure aobut black wheat flour, but i bet they sell a normal variety too

buy in bulk!

popsycal · 02/12/2004 15:01

tesco do one - normal own brand pasta but tiny....

ChristmasBOOZA · 02/12/2004 15:03

West Yorkshire. I'm sure there are delis around just don't know where. We're going to the Christmas market in Lincoln tomorrow so might spot one there.

Thanks everyone BTW
