Hi..

Not really sure if this is the right topic area but... when can you stop burping babies??

DD is 7 months and doesn't really seem to need it anymore - are they just able to deal with it in other ways as adults can??

If your DD doesn't seem to need it, stop. You'll soon find out is she does need burping.

I don't think I burped my DSs much past 2 months - they were both big lads and able to take care of it themselves.

From what I remember I think I stopped with two of my children when they were sitting up on their own. I think at some point when they dont need it theyll automatically burp on their own when they need to.

DS still generally produces a fairly hefty burp after his bedtime milk - he's 21 months and been doing it for some time himself.
