Chicken in the slow cooker

I have made my butter chicken with garlic in the slow cooker. Came back from school, thought great, just need to do veggies and put the chicken back in the pot for DH and my dinner later. The chicken is almost too moist. Kids not overwhelmed with how delicious it is. ???????

NO advice to report I am afraid, but interested in this thread as I have a new slow cooker and was wondering about doing a chicken in it. Please share your conclusions with me

It has happened the last 2 times I made it but not the first iirc.

Yes, the recipe says cook it for 4-5 hours. It was just over 4 hours for when I served it to the kids and it has been left on low for Dh and I to have it once he has put the kids to bed.

I always take mine out before I put the veg on, stick a cooling rack over the slow cooker and leave it to dry for a bit, otherwise it is a bit wet, which I hate.
