Okay to freeze avocado?

I think it loses it's texture and goes black - I could be wrong....

Lavender I'm thinking of giving my baby some mashed avocado but as he only takes a couple of teaspoonfuls I wonder if I can freeze the rest. I suppose I can just eat the rest myself

Would it keep in the fridge? DD will eat half an avacado but wondered if I could keep the other half until the next day if I put it in an airtight container.

Its quite expensive to waste isn't it snowmoon?
