pizza dough

have just made pizza dough for the first time ( here ) and am very chuffed. as my attempt at bread the other week went rather badly, it tasted nice but you could have used it to kill someone. It was rock hard and the yeast was old and didn't rise.

Once you get used to a basic bread dough recipe you'll be banging out pizza and loves no bother

grouchy-- thank you... i used to get plain bases but none of the supermakets seem to have them anymore so i finally gave the dough a go as it were.

Is it just plain flour thats used or special bread flour?

i just used self raising flour, as thats what i had in the house and it turned out very nice.
