Quick indulgent meal for one?

DH out tomorrow night, don't want a takeaway, don't mind doing some cooking, but really bored of pasta! I have some prawns in the freezer - am thinking Thai at the moment, so any nice fast curries I can do?
But just out of curiosity, what's your favourite (home cooked) meal for when you only have yourself to please?

it's not very indulgent, but my current fave is spaghetti with spinach, mushrooms, onion and garlic with a dollop of cream

fast and tasty

Sandwich made of crusty baguette, grilled chicken breast, ripe avocado, mayonnaise & strong cheddar.
And a chocolate milkshake .

I am with Iota. Dh hates mushrooms so when he is out I have pasta with onion, garlic, mushroom, ham and cream sauce, with a bit of tomato puree for good measure.

Stir fry veg with prawns and mushrooms, fried with a little 5 spice and soy sauce with noodles. (Got two packs of stir fry veg reduced to 20p each this afternoon in Sainsburys, so just had mushroom stir fry for about 30p this evening!)
Fruit and yogurt for dessert.

actually I usually eat with the kids and cook something for both me and ds2 eg. spag bol or beef/chicken stew

Buckets · 25/01/2008 18:38

Have gone all cravingy now and will have to send DH out to buy chicken breasts and baguette tomorrow morning . Then again he has cheap and nasty taste in milkshakes so I'd better do it myself.

An enormous salad with spinach, avocado, gerkins and warm grilled chicken with cajun spices, home made mayonnaise, a glass of sauvignon blanc followed by greek youghurt, raspberries and cream.

Steak, rocket salad, oven chips and a brandy, cream & green peppercorn sauce.

Something involving chocolate

A bucket of wine

ComeOVeneer · 25/01/2008 19:01

Pan fried scallops on a bed of rocket with balsamic dressing, aa decadent chocolate dessert and good full bodied red wine.

My favourite lone meals are:

Asparagus roasted with a bit of balsamic vinegar, with shaved parmesan and good bread.

A stuffed pepper with cous cous.

A picky meal - pitta, homemade hoummus etc.

Poached egg on toast if I'm feeling under the weather.

Huge amounts of Earl grey, a bag of pistachios and a Bounty to follow.
