how much pasta would you give at tea time for this age. a.karmel book says 40g/1 and 1/2 oz cooked, or 15-20g/ 1/2 to 3/4oz dry. this doesn't seem much?

About a tea cup full of large shapes or about half for small pieces- allows for some to go on the floor & for you to test some as well

40g sounds good to me - they don't actually need very much quantity. And if they wolf it all you can always give them some extra fruit, or something for afters. Better than throwing stuff away. Also you learn for your own child if they tend to have a big appetite and need more.
