I love it as a salad leaf but not really a fan once it's cooked.
Tonight we are having white fish with probably a jacket spud.
can i incorporate cooked spinach as I have a bag of it to use.
What about fish curry?

A florentine recipe uses spinach in it

Spinach and fish are lovely together. If you are using fresh leaves, wash them and shake them dry and then heat a little oil in the pan, add some chopped garlic and let it cook for about 60 seconds. then add the spinach and mix it around so as it cooks and wilts. Then season with salt, pepper and grated nutmeg. YUM
you could also add some cream or creme fraiche to the spinach before it is cooked.

Fish curry is fab and spinach goes really well. Make a curry base, a thai red coconut one is good, and just before serving add the spinach and chunks of fish. allow it to cook for about 5 minutes before serving.

I usually serve spinach with a couple of spoonfuls of cream stirred in. I find it takes away some of the bitterness.

I do fish florentine with white fish, or I just serve fish on a bed of lightly steamed spinach.

If you don't like it cooked just serve it as a cold salad on the side.

ahhhh, thankyou......it was fish florentine I was picturing in my mind but imagined the spinach would be all wet and slimy.
Do you squeeze the liquid out of it a bit?

The children love fish, really love it but try to avoid vegetables if they are green (smile).
I'm pleased that curry would work well because I know that would suit everyone.
The problem I have with that is my curries always taste the same and secondly I have been healthy eating so don't want to use too much fat or oils etc.
Cor I could do with big old plate of curry now.
