beef brisket in slow cooker

Right I have beef brisket that I want to cook in my slow cooker. Anyone got any tasty tips.

Sorry its a bit late! I did my beef brisk in some gravy,made the gravy much thicker than what i would for say a sunday lunch,added a large onion. Put it on at 8.30am,ready for tea at 5ish. The stock came about a quarter the way up the meat.I based the meat 2-3times.YUMYUM!Next time im going to do it in some red wine.

I put in the brisket. Surround with quartered onion, celery, carrots, mushrooms, thyme. Add red wine and boiling water (around half/half) to about quarter of the way up. Season.

When cooked, remove meat and veg, pour juice into saucepan and thicken with a bit of butter and flour paste to make sauce.
