Quick moronic question - can you roast mushrooms?

You can put them in the oven brushed with olive oil, gas mark 6-ish, 20 mins-ish. Or if large, remove stalk, turn upside down, put a bit of butter and maybe even some nice soft cheese eg boursin, and roast in the same way.

they're great roasted with other roasted beg - butternut, red onions, peppers, carrots, cherry tomato etc

cover with olive oil, add garlic and fresh rosemary if you have any

They can leak juices and/or dry out. IME best way if large is to cover them with foil after smearing the bit underneath the umbrella with as garlic butter as you can get away with. Put them in the oven gas mark 6ish for around 30 mins
