Is it ok to freeze pasta?

I'm making up a big batch of bolognese, which I freeze in little bags, then defrost as needed. Usually, I boil some pasta to go with it, but just wondered if its ok to make up the pasta now, mix it in to the bolognese and then freeze the whole lot together. I'm assuming it is ok, but just wanted to check. The pasta is in shells.
