Asparagus, mushrooms, red peppers, baby spinach, watercress, aubergines and brocolli.

I can't believe I actually love so many veg, I used to think eating veg was such a chore.

shrooms · 18/01/2008 14:10

Broccoli, carrots, peas, sweetcorn, chickpeas, spring greens, courgette (espesh chargrilled). Plus parsnip and swede! (But really, this is a vegan household so I'll chomp on any veg)

LoveAngel · 18/01/2008 14:10

broccoli, asparagus, red & yellow peppers, sweet potato/potato, plantain, parsnips

Pickie · 18/01/2008 14:12

asparagus (pref the white ones), curly kale, rocket, spinach, chard, onions, carrots, beetroot, leeks and parnips. Oh and spouted beans

nappyaddict · 18/01/2008 19:12

shrooms - do you mean spring cabbage? mmm yummy.

ooh i i've never had curly kale or chard. i'll have to try those.

isn't plantain like a banana? surely that's a fruit

OP posts:
shrooms · 19/01/2008 10:18

Well I think it's a type of cabbage yes! But the packet I buy it in always says 'greens' so that's what I end up saying.

Plantain is a fruit but it is served like a vegetable, savoury so I guess that's why it snuck into this list!

Shaniece · 19/01/2008 15:12

I love most veg. Wish I could say the same about fruit. I only eat Strawberries and maybe the odd banana.

nappyaddict · 19/01/2008 17:44

where in the fruit/veg aisle will i find curly kale and chard?

OP posts:
Pickie · 19/01/2008 18:31

never found chard in the supermarkets and Sainsbury's do curly kale BUT instead of the whole leave they shred it including the bitter middle bit. We get ours in our veggie box (Riverford). Really nice little bit like Christmas every week to see what's in it!

fullmoonfiend · 19/01/2008 18:32

spinach, peppers, mushrooms, leeks. oh everything.

I can't believeI am so bored I am responding to this.

nappyaddict · 03/02/2008 02:55

we have decided to start having a veg box and my new fave veg are chinese broccoli, waterchestnuts, rocket, lettuce - little gem, four seasons or crispheart .. oh and still runner beans

maybe we could have fave herbs ... ok too far nappyaddict!! must say though i'm not a fan of parsley, dill, chives, basil or garlic. yes i know i need a life! ... and a cure for insomnia!
