Canape suggestions please

Hi,

We are having a house warming party next weekend at which we shall be having canapes and cocktails. I have the cocktail list sorted but need to some help with the canapes.....

I am a pretty good cook and would like to do a couple of things with a bit of wow factor and a few easy things. I have taken the day before off work to make sure our house doesn't look like a squat and to make stuff, so time isn't a problem.

Any ideas????

Mini boudins noirs (French black pudding) and boudins blancs - much more chic than cocktail sausages

Mini baked potatoes (bake with some herbs) with duck foie gras inside (fixed with a cocktail stick)

Sea-urchin mini bruschette

put your boudins on mini potato rostis and drizzle with japanese pickled-ginger infused vinegar

Buy some tiny glasses and make minute tiramisus with a quarter strawberry in each one - and teensy chocolate mousses.

Mini matcha flavoured éclairs

spatchcocked dragonflies on a foiegras meringue

actually, I've just come from a job where we did cucumber sorbet with a goat's cheese curd with baby herb salad and a lemon zest vinaigrette
it was vair vair nice

we also do this canape of seared scallops marinated in lime and tequila served in a ceramic chinese soup spoon finished with a dark soy and star anise syrup. Always goes down well

Hmmm. That scallop thingummy sounds naughty.

I think that the food is going to be classier than my friends, will have to move to a nicer 'hood.
