ds always had his lunch at 11:30am but he seems to be getting whiny earlier now. does anyone else give lunch at 11?

I feed mine when hungey though 11.10 seems more acceptable than 11. It suits me for DS2 to eat early as he needs time for lunch to settle before he goes for his nap.

hungry. It's been one of those days.....

dd has her lunch around 11, sometimes half 11. works fine. breakfast about 8.30ish, lunch 11, snack 2.30, tea 4.30-5ish. i do it that way so she can have lunch, and nap before nursery at 1. she eats quite slowly, can take a good hour over it.

should add..she actually grabs my hand and takes me into the kitchen to make her lunch at 11. she's 19 months. similarily bang on 4.30 she says 'tea'.

Depends when they had breakfast, and when they'll be having dinner. It actually might improve how much they eat at dinner if they eat an early lunch!

nappyaddict · 17/01/2008 17:18

breakfast is about 8:30, tea about 4:30 at the moment. do you think i would need to bring tea forward too?

Not if they're not hungry yet, but you could always do a teeny snack 'starter' like some melon or cucumber sticks.
