Why do they do that? I normally don't faff too much with their tea but whenever I put a lot of effort in they seem to sense it! Apparenttly beef doesn't go with a tomato sauce....that told me! Coming from the queen of spag bol!

LOL - I gave DD (14 months) homemade orange jelly tonight just to see what she would do - she spent half an hour prodding it with a spoon and then looking really spooked. Eventually a spoon went in her mouth, yep, she liked it, although she pointed to the tomato sauce and indicated it'd be nicer if we added some

BTW when DD does this sauce refusal thing, we hand her bread and she just mops it away. Saves your the hassle (and they tend to eat the bread with the sauce on as well!

homemade orange jelly! recipe, please!

Half water/ half Orange juice, gelatine sheets. (I use a mug of each to make a pint of jelly - 3 sheets gelatine.

Heat the water to dissolve the gelatine sheets, pop the orange juice in. Takes a dogs age to set though! Don't do it with the pulpy juice, it's horrid. Also bear in mind if your kids are used to really sweet foods you may need to add extra sugar.

I'll have you know my daughter is a lentil wearing blw veteran who doesn't know what to do with a chocolate button... (so long as I get to them first). Thanks - shall try that.

I read that as a lentil wearing BLW vegan - I was about to tell you how shite veggie gelatine is! BTW it works really really well with most fruits except kiwi and pineapple (neither set)
