Cupcake question URGENT

It's dh's b-day tomorrow and I forgot to make him a cake so thought cup cakes would be easy. But can I make cupcakes without the cases?

what do you mean? what are you planning to cook them in if not cases??

yes u can make then in jam start tin things or muffin tins

i have at times whe we have run out of cake cases but nor realised til too late

Or do a tray bake ice then cut up (very easy)

I have 2 shallow muffin tins

grease them. will be fine!

Well they are in the oven so fingers crossed, managed to squeeze 13 out of the mix as I have some happy birthday candles. Just peeked through oven door and they look a bit small. Well it's the thought that counts right?
