Pot roast chicken - please advise me

Do i just bung in chicken, veg and liquid? Do i use water/wine/stock or a mix of all three? Tia

I did a pot roast guinea fowl last week [ponce emoticon] and just browned teh bird, bout in pot with a big glass of wine, salt and pepper and loads of rosemary. Oh, and 20 odd cloves of garlic. Gorgeous. But same principle would apply to a chicken? Isn't it being steamed slightly???

Oooh that sounds lovely tinker. Will definitely put in loads of garlic and wine i think. Was guinea fowl nice? Have never tried it.
