I have the paper cases, so can I just spoon mixture into them and place on a flat baking tray or do they need to be in the moulded muffin tins to take on a good shape?
TIA

You can put them on a flat baking tray, but they will go a funny shape. However, they still taste the same - much more imporant imo!

No.

No. Just make sure you put the mixture in as evenly as possible so that they stay the right sort of shape when they rise.

you can bake them just in the paper cases, it will just go out more to the sides (if I'm wording it right?)
