Is it really as simple as toasted bread and bacon, or is there more to it than that? It sounds good tonight but can't help feeling I am missing some vital component

tomato sauce is a must with a bacon sandwich.

ItsNotOnlyTheGoodBits · 12/01/2008 23:13

Don't forget the ketchup!

verylittlecarrot · 12/01/2008 23:14

For some reaon i read the thread title as ...Bacon butties, urine, sandwhiches.

BananaPudding · 12/01/2008 23:21

PFNM bleurgh, bacon and pee.

So what I'm getting is toast, bacon and whatever sauce suits me? Was wondering if some type of veg was called for or if it was just eaten in it's bacony glory.

Pretty much all bacon in the US is streaky so good there.

Think brown sauce is what we call "steak sauce". Ok yes, wikipedia says they are the same thing. Bacon and brown sauce sounds strangly good.

hmmmmmmmmm....but yeah I always feel guilty when leaving out the veggie part of any meal...

MaureenMLove · 13/01/2008 00:15

Now ya see, I like, bacon, mushroom, a little slice of cheddar and red sauce in a crusty roll!

BananaPudding · 13/01/2008 00:19

I'll make up the veggies tomorrow

But tomatoes are kinda veg, so if you have red sauce, you're sorted! All the major food groups accounted for I think!

No toast here...thick white unsliced bread, loads of actual butter, and if I feel the real need to pretend to be healthy, lettuce and tomato (but that doesn't happen very often)

unknownrebelbang · 13/01/2008 00:45

Thick white bread, but no butter. Maybe a some cheddar.

Brown sauce preferable to ketchup, but either will suffice.

Triggles · 13/01/2008 14:00

That's what we're going to have tonight. I do usually put lettuce and tomato on mine, but DH thinks that's too "healthy and veggie-like" so his is just bread, butter, and bacon.
