Flapjack

I have just made Jamie Oliver's fruity flapjack from the Comin Relief cookbook. Everytime I make it I follow the recipe (have done lots of different ones from different books) but it doesn't end up in nice rectangle pieces which are firm enough to stay together but soft enough for the kids to eat. I really want to get this right so the kids can have them in their packed lunch and it is annoying at the waste of time. They have just gone in the oven so what do I do when they come out as that is the bit that seems to go wrong? TIA.

I've made these and always undercook it and then let them set before cutting into portions. Its a very buttery recipe though and I tend to adapt an old favourite flapjack recepie and add dried fruit etc then I can convince myself its healthy.... got to take DD swimming now but could dig out the quantities if you'd like? sure someone else will have words of wisdom before then though! SL x

It says 40-45 mins at 150. How long do you recommend?

i have done 30mins - don't panic if it looks really runny!!

I did it and it is now cut and been left to cool in the tin until later. Hoping it will work this time.

Hope it all worked out ok and has set beautifully?? If not I apologise and suggest a spoon! I think my oven might be extra hot! SL x

The kids seemed to like it and it stayed in rectangle shaped pieces. Yay! I will cook it for less time next time though to make it softer and chewier. Thanks!

Please could someone email me or post the quantities for this flapjack? I used to have it but I can't find it and I want to make it again! Thank you!
