Sorry if i sound a bit thick

but he won't be home at a resonable time, and the dc are out for tea tomorrow so i don't know when i will use them but don't want to waste it - so can i boil them and freeze them?

Had the water heated up?

MerlinsBeard · 10/01/2008 19:12

Can't you plate up his tea and he can microwave it? or make potato salad with the ones he would have had for lunch 2mo?

sparklesandwine · 10/01/2008 19:16

yes water has heated up and they are boiling

MOM - i doubt he'll be hungry when he gets home!

Mashed potato freezes ok. Can reuse later in fishcakes or shepherds pie.

I am off to have my tea but if you can wait a bit I will type out the various ways of freezing spuds!

sparklesandwine · 10/01/2008 19:26

Right I am back. I was thinking why don't you mash them and stick them in the fridge to have tmw.

OverMyDeadBody · 10/01/2008 19:29

You can mash them and freeze them, that should be fine. I do quite often, then use them in emergencies!

sparklesandwine · 10/01/2008 20:08
