Finely chop a small onion and fry gently.

Boil up as much tagliatelle as you need, drain well.

Just as you are ready to serve, add a tub of double cream and lots of black pepper to the onion then add the smoked salmon. Heat through, stir well add tagliatelle.

Serve with crusty bread and lashings of wine.

Hope this makes sense, posting from work.

Line a ramekin with smoked salmon, crack in an egg, top with a tablespoon of single cream and salt and pepper. Nake in oven (180) for 10 mins until egg white set but yolk still runny, sprinkle with freshly cut chives and serve with toast.

bake. You can add some sauteed finely chopped leeks as well if you want to make it a bit more filling.

If you want a quick snack- soak the smoked salmon in a bit of milk, then scramble however many eggs, add the milk-and-salmon and heat through.
Lovely on toast. And healthy too.

Lovely in fishcakes too - mix with mashed potato and chopped spring onions, coat in breadcrumbs, polenta or bashed up ritz crackers, fry. Yum
