I am making 100 fairy cakes for my brothers wedding on saturday. they are in red cases, they need to be iced with white and then i'll add a little red butterflys made from red roll out icing (left to harden overnight) to the top. BUT..................
water icing will be a bit runny and set very hard (correct me if i'm wrong). someone suggested adding liquid glucose to it as it would make it glossy and set a little softer. Is this true? and if so how much do i add?

I'd love to help, but considering my icing top tip today was to put fresh orange instead of water in with icing sugar for 3yr old niece and nephew then i think i'm not going to be of much assistance!! Have you tried a general search on google?
