I have some raspberries and fancy them tonight with alcohol of some description, we have quite a selection but no gin and not many liquors

So What do you suggest?

DP once made a lovely raspberry vodka - he basically put fresh raspberries in the vodka to infuse for ages). However, not exactly a quick-fix !

Raspberries, vodka, double cream and smooshed meringues make a rather good Eton hic-Mess.

Have you any fruit brandy? Cherry, apricot, kirsch?

Drop them in the bottom of a champagne flute and pour over champagne/cava?

Yum, Santa

Just have them on ice cream with Baileys (or other 'cream-based tart fuel') poured over.

Champagne. Sorry but champagned EVERY time with raspberries = absolutely delicious, especially if you put one or two in the glass. Particularly a dry champagne.

SantaBeClausImWorthIt · 05/01/2008 18:30

In fact, forget the raspberries and just have the champagne!

OK I now have raspberries in my Cava and have prepared another vodka raspbery mess which should be ready about Easter.

We're just on champagne in the BIWI house. We had a party on New Year's Eve and have at least another half dozen bottles to finish (stuff that people brought).
