Had a serious blonde turn.........making pie tonight for dinner, I have some shortcrust pastry......

the frozen stuff (which is now defrosted) how do I do it? Do I cook the base of the pie separately then add the filling and the top and continue cooking - or do I bung everything in at the same time???
