... have found several recipes, but would like someone who has actually done it successfully to advise a) do I cook it in the box; wrapped in foil; or "naked" b) do I add anything or just cook as is? Plan to offer this as an alternative to pudding tomorrow lunchtime so quick responses appreciated (with apologies in advance if I don't get to thank you between now and Saturday!)

Do not turn your back on it. It goes from nothing to a puddle on the floor of the oven in double quick time. (Voice of experience)

Cook it in the box in foil.

Prick the surface and drizzle a teaspoon of brandy over it.

do you put the cheese in the foil and then in the box, or the foil around the box ? [dimwitted emoticon]

Take plastic wrapper off then, just wrap the box, lid off in foil, make a tent. Then at the last minute or so peel foil back.

Brie, should have known this would have been up your street (doubly so given your cheesy name!!!) Thanks!
How long do you cook it for, roughly, and at what temperature?
Also, have heard of slicing it in half horizontally and adding "stuff" - (e.g. walnuts and vinegar i seem to remember someone telling me). Any thoughts anyone? This is a FAB dish, very simple but very effective, woudl recommend for all of those posting threads about simple party food....

I made this yesterday - took out of plastic wrap, sliced off top, drizzled with olive oil and rock salt and baked for about 20 mins at 180, - was gorgeous with celery!
