Have you bought Brussels Sprouts?

i am just wondering if you have all bought sprouts? i am not sure if it's good to buy now but i would not fancy doing food shopping this weekend cos I just knew it's going to be packed and there's a possibility that nothings left by then...

all the shops will be packed between now and then!! there will be plenty of staff making sure stock is available though so just do it!

Not yet, but will get those ones on sticks. Great for bashing those that misbehave in the kitchen.

now if there were none in the shops, that'd be a great excuse not to have any!

i hate sprouts and grudgingly cook them once a year for my lovely dh who likes them

i try to tart them up with bacon, walnuts, chestnuts etc, but I just don't like them

i know, but the sprouts will not be very fresh by 25 Dec? i love everything fresh but i know it's a dilemma at this time of the year.

that's up to you - get now and put your freshness factor aside or brave the crowds.

i hate sprouts too tass but my DH likes it so i am just like you, cook them for him.

what about parsnips? i suppose they last longer?

I haven't as they don;t really go with what I am cooking on Christmas Day. I do like sprouts though and have them at other times.

I have to admit to being a bit disappointed even though I do hate them

i cant have a dinner without sprouts, must get mine tomorrow or saturday
