I bought some Plymouth gin for christmas - I have a friend in Plymouth and it made me laugh. It is very nice with a dry edge.

I do love a gordons too.

Last year I treated myself to bombay sapphire - that was nicely aromatic.

Hello, this thread is a little old and the links are out of date. Take a look at this handy page for a round up of Mumsnetters’ favourite gins.

Damson gin and sloe gin sound terrific.
On my domestic goddess 'to do' list for next year.I've never tasted either. Are they good?
How do yuo drink it then?

sloe gin (or damson or redcurrant) is drunk on its own as a small liquer type drink. Might have some later in fact

I'm a Gordon's girl. And it has to be with lime (no lemon for me, ta!)

Sloe gin is divine with tonic over ice for a long drink

I just bought some Damson Gin for my brother - do you think he'd notice if I had a wee drink and made the bottle up with water
