Baking powder can be made from 2 parts cream or tartar to one part Bicarb of soda

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 18/12/2007 17:28

1 part bicarb soda and 2 parts cream of tarter. Although if you've not got CofT you're stuffed I think!

Cream of tartar

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 18/12/2007 17:29

Looks like I'm as stuffed as a christmas turkey then.

Has the school only just told her today? Seems a bit off to give such short notice. Can you buy one on the way to school?

NAB3littlemonkeys · 18/12/2007 17:32

Can you borrow from a neighbour?

claricebeansmumhasnomincepies · 18/12/2007 17:33

Or nip out, buy a cake and pop it in a tin?

discoverlife · 18/12/2007 17:34

Chocolate rice krispie cakes anyone?

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 18/12/2007 17:36

Ha, no, she boguht home her PE bag, with one of those letters in, you know the 'important' ones, that are supposed to go straight home but then take a week?
I'll just make something else.
