I have some

Polish Hill Aussie Riesling

Cloudy Bay

Monbazillac

Clonakilla Aussie Shiraz

Taittinger

and loads of lovely Pouilly Fume

Will also be making Margaritas, doing something clever with my rum from Martinique and limes and drinking a lot of Campari and soda.

And then.... I shall fall over.

So we are all going to be batfaced through the Festive Season then?

Lazy this year, so mulled wine in a bottle from M&S (surprisingly good)

Couple of bottles of Moet Chandon 2000 vintage for Xmas breakfast

A couple of bottles of Sainsbury's finest South African Shiraz - no idea what it's like, but it's red and its wine, s it's fine by me.

Bottle of tawny port for evening cheese fests

Ah , glad you are all here I need some advice. Ok so for Christmas eve in db's house we are having the 1999 Dom Perignon that I bought by mistake and for Christmas day dbil has bought crates of stuff from his friend who imports wine so I know it will be delicious but I don't know what it is exactly. We generally buy Veuve Clicot as a family (how poncey are we? Well we are.).

But my dilemma is that my dbil has been tee total for a year now, he is not an alcoholic but he just wanted to put all his energy into his business so he got healthy and gave up alcohol. And the last time I was there me and dsis and her mate got pissed and opened a bottle of Rioja he was saving for Christmas because I knew he didn't want us to drink it, I am quite norty when I have imbibed. I now feel pretty bad about it and I want to buy him something lovely to replace it as we cant remember what it was. All I know was that it cost 40 euros. So any ideas for a fairly fancy wine to replace it.
i was thinking Brunello de Montalcino?
