Steak sauces.

I need some recipes for steak sauces as I'm fed up of always making peppered steak. I fancy a change from the norm. Dh quite fancys a tomato based sauce. Any ideas???

Chop an onion micro small, fry until soft. Crumble in some blue cheese(stilton is the best) and then pour in double cream slowly until you achieve the correct consistency. Salt and pepper to taste. Sorry cant help re tomato based.

Oooh, that sounds lush. Shame I can't eat on this diet. Will put that one in my recipe book though. Dh wouldn't eat it but my mum would love it!!!! Cheers

I do a similar sauce to you gymjunkie, I fry the onion then add a bit of sherry, then I add the cream, stilton cheese and melt a bit but leave some lumps and then finish off with some chopped chives, it is gorgeous and goes great with chicken as well.........not good for the waistline though.
